Alicia came in yesterday and worked for about FIVE hours on the mural, but she didn't finish the people that are sketched on the last canvas.

If you want to come by and work tomorrow, Friday, come see us at the teen or youth services desk. We'll see if we can get a study room or a space open for your to work. The library's open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Otherwise, we'll see you Saturday morning and/or Tuesday night.

Don't forget--the library's closed on Monday. Have a great holiday weekend!

Here's some photos I took while Alicia and Farah worked on the mural tonight.

Alicia's planning to be back tomorrow, Wednesday, from 2-7 p.m. Not sure if she'll be working all that time, but you're welcome to stop by and help her out.

Publicity

The mural will be featured in a newsletter that is distributed to Johnson County employees. A reporter was here a few minutes ago asking questions and viewing your work so far. I'll link to the article as soon as it's published, if possible.

Also, I've been told that a reporter may be here to interview and/or take photos while you're working tomorrow night from 7-9 p.m. in the study rooms.

I'll see you then.

Only one more Sunday meeting until the mural needs to be finished!

Please plan to be at the unveiling:

Tuesday, September 5th at 7 p.m.

The mural will be hung in the teen room. Please invite your family and friends to come. We'll celebrate and reflect upon your work.

You're doing such a great job!

Amanda gave these two pieces to Angel and me. She's planning to come this Sunday...and so am I!

I saw your progress. It looks awesome. You all are extremely talented. See you Sunday.
